Project Timeline
• November 2015 – Teams are registered at the project website and develop identity (name, logo and profile), upload team’s photos and information about activities and participate in the Project launch event – an online Innovation Tournament.
• December 2015- February 2016 – Following the online Innovation Tournament the US–Russia student teams will develop the proposed ideas into concept papers using the project website resources and communication with business experts who will share with students their experience and vision regarding various aspects, trends, needs and challenges and expose students to a variety of digital jobs and careers, and much valued job skills. The focus will be on innovation, business tools and collaboration. Sessions will be conducted online.
• March 2016 – An online semi-final will give teams the opportunity to present their projects to the panel of experts who will select up to 4-6 top teams with strong potential for their projects to become real businesses.
• April 2016 Team-finalists will continue working on their projects exploiting tech innovations and supervised by e-mentors. Their work will culminate with an online final where teams will present their projects to the panel of experts and the audience. Winning team(s) will be selected and announced at this stage.
• May - July 2016 - Winning team(s) will prepare for and have exchange visits to meet their peers face-to-face, explore the cities involved in the joint project and to visit companies that provided support who will host special events to expose international teams to their business objectives in the coming years, the types of employees and the mix of technical and entrepreneurial skills they will be looking for.
