The US-Russia Digital Entrepreneurship Project is designed to enable young people in both countries to learn how to use digital technologies in a professional way. “Digitization — the increasing number and type of interconnected devices and the growing use of cloud storage — is changing the way companies do business. The Harvard Business School, for example, has recently established a new research area to better understand how companies can operate successfully in this digitized environment.
Technologies are changing the job market significantly by creating new professions and requiring new skills. This means young people entering the world of work must be able to develop their digital expertise and combine it with an entrepreneurial mindset and the competencies required in business — an ability to collaborate, compete and solve problems, see opportunities and think in a totally new way.
Participation in the project and interaction with business experts and students from another country will help develop and maintain digital and entrepreneurial competencies, as well as “global” skills, needed to create new networks in the digital society and match these skills with diverse occupations.
